Cost-effective o/w emulsifier

Core Advantages

VeEmu AG68 is an innovative non-ionic O/W glycoside emulsifier, blended from plant-derived cetearyl glucoside and ceteth-20. It boasts multiple core advantages:
Two emulsifiers can emulsify up to thirty parts of oil
Texture: Easy to spread, uniform coverage, silky-smooth.
Skin feel: Light and non-greasy, fast absorption with no burden.
Safety: Gentle and non-comedogenic.
Particularly suitable for formulating low-viscosity lotions.

Core Concept: Redefining the "All-Round Standard" for Emulsifiers

Natural & Skin-Friendly, A "Safety Shield" for Acne-Prone & Sensitive Skin
Glyceryl stearate, a component in the commonly used emulsifier A165 (Glyceryl Stearate & PEG-100 Stearate), presents a risk of comedogenicity. VeEmu AG68 serves as a superior alternative: it is non-comedogenic, and both its lipophilic fatty groups and hydrophilic glucose groups are plant-derived, delivering natural, skin-friendly properties at the ingredient source. Gentle and non-irritating, it also neutralizes the irritation of other raw materials, making it highly friendly for sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, and infant skin.

King of Emulsification – A Top Performer in Both Stability & Moisturization
Both cetearyl glucoside and ceteth-20 are non-ionic emulsifiers. The HLB value of cetearyl glucoside is typically 10.5–12.0, while ceteth-20 has a relatively high HLB value of 15.0–16.0.The combination of cetearyl glucoside and ceteth-20 achieves an excellent balanced emulsification effect, especially for oils of low to medium polarity (e.g., mineral oil, vegetable oil, ester oils), providing good stability, consistency, and skin feel. VeEmu AG68 and A165 are suitable for emulsifying very similar types of oils, with comparable emulsifying capacity and formulation cost, making VeEmu AG68 an ideal alternative to A165.

Emulsification Performance Test
Emulsification tests were conducted using various oils.Dosage: VeEmu AG68 2%, oils 30%. Result: All emulsified successfully passed the test.

Additionally, VeEmu AG68 has an extra bonus: It can promote the formation of liquid crystals in the formulation system, further enhancing the moisturizing and nourishing effects of the product。

Easier to prepare low-viscosity systems
VeEmu AG68 facilitates the preparation of lowviscosity, fluid emulsions. The figure below shows the viscosity comparison between VeEmu AG68 and common emulsifiers used in the cosmetics industry.

The viscosity test results show that, with the same formulation, the emulsion prepared using VeEmu AG68 as the emulsifier exhibits a significantly lower viscosity. To achieve the viscosity of the original formulation using A165, it is only necessary to simply add additional fatty alcohol to the formulation.

Easy to use and cost-effective
It is suitable for a wide range of O/W systems such as lotions, creams, and sunscreens, and is particularly ideal for body lotions, hand creams, and tone-up creams. No need to calculate the HLB value of the system. It can emulsify a wide range of oils, including polar and non-polar oils, vegetable oils, silicone oils, etc. Low dosage, high cost-performance.
